Job summary

Froehling & Robertson, Inc. seeks a CMT Technician to perform field materials testing at construction sites, including soil, asphalt, masonry, and concrete. Travel to job sites is required to verify work per project specs.

The role involves preparing field reports, conducting laboratory tests, and communicating test results to project managers. Training is provided; HS diploma required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or equivalent) required.
• Prior construction or field testing experience preferred.
• ACI Level I Concrete, State DOT, WACEL or ICC certifications are a plus.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Must be able to read and interpret plans, specs, safety rules, and manuals.
• Must be able to work independently and in teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform field materials testing of soil, asphalt, masonry and concrete.
• Prepare detailed field reports with test results and inspections.
• Perform laboratory tests on soil and concrete and report results.
• Evaluate site and subgrade conditions and provide recommendations.
• Communicate with clients, contractors, and staff on construction issues.
