Job summary

APSI Construction Management, Inc. is seeking a Construction Manager/Administrator for the Electronic Health Record Modernization project at the VA Central Alabama facility in Tuskegee, AL.

The role requires on-site leadership, oversight of design and construction activities, and coordination with VA staff to ensure schedule, QA, safety, and cost controls are maintained through the 3-year project window beginning November/December 2026.

Qualifications

• A minimum of three years of construction field experience performing CM tasks.
• Completion of 30-hour OSHA Safety Training within 60 days of NTP.
• Working knowledge of construction practices to support QA, safety, time, cost, and change management.
• Experience monitoring construction for Quality Assurance and identifying deficiencies.
• Ability to present three similar projects as evidence of prior positions.
• Strong communication, language, and software skills for project tracking and records.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional and technical consultative assistance on operations, renovation, and new construction for EHRM.
• Assist the Contracting Officer and CO’s Representative in project management, planning, scheduling, design reviews, code compliance, testing, records, QA, cost control, and oversight.
• Conduct or attend weekly or bi-weekly progress meetings to review schedules and contractor payment requirements.
• Maintain thorough records and assist VA in conflict resolution; document progress and review project status with all stakeholders.
• Monitor independent testing/inspection agencies for QA testing, including soils, concrete, steel, and related systems.
• Perform additional construction services such as as-builts, inspections, defect lists, change orders, submittal/RFI reviews, daily logs, and closeout submittals.
