Job summary

GBA Builders is seeking a Field Superintendent to lead on-site execution across diverse projects, typically under $5 million, with full safety, quality, and documentation responsibilities. You’ll coordinate trades, manage schedules, and mentor crew leaders while enabling project success through proactive communication and thorough record-keeping.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field, 3+ years of experience, OSHA 30-hour certification, and willingness

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field, and 3+ years of relevant experience
• OSHA 30-hour certification required; First Aid/CPR certification preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional coordination
• Familiarity with pull planning, Microsoft Project, and short-term look-ahead scheduling
• Proficiency reading construction documents and proficiency with MS Office and Bluebeam

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate construction activities and logistics, overseeing jobsite operations
• Communicate with contractors and project team on ASIs, RFIs, submittals, and documentation
• Ensure subcontractors comply with scopes of work and safety standards
• Manage quality-control efforts for materials and work
• Coordinate inspections with jurisdictions and inspectors
• Maintain daily log and photo records of progress and site conditions
• Create and distribute weekly look-ahead schedules (minimum three weeks)
• Conduct daily huddles and weekly coordination meetings
• Travel to job sites and operate company vehicle as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned
