Job summary

GBA Builders seeks a Field Superintendent to support project execution on projects typically under $5 million in Northern Virginia. The role emphasizes jobsite safety, quality control, subcontractor coordination, and accurate documentation of progress and schedule impacts.

Responsibilities include coordinating activities, communicating with the team on RFIs/submittals, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Must travel full-time to U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field; 3+ years of relevant experience or equivalent.
• OSHA 30-hour certification required; First Aid/CPR preferred.
• Strong communication, with ability to coordinate with trade partners, project team, and site leadership.
• Familiarity with pull planning, MS Project, and short-term look-ahead scheduling.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction documents and in using MS Office and Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate construction activities and logistics, including jobsite operations.
• Communicate with contractors and project team about ASIs, RFIs, submittals, and other documentation.
• Ensure subcontractors comply with contracted scopes and safety standards.
• Manage quality-control for materials and work.
• Coordinate inspections with jurisdictions and inspectors.
• Maintain daily log and photo record of progress and site conditions.
• Create and distribute weekly look-ahead schedules (minimum 3 weeks).
• Lead daily huddles and weekly coordination meetings.
