Job summary

GBA Builders seeks a Field Superintendent to oversee field operations, safety, and quality on projects across the United States. The role includes coordinating subcontractors, managing daily logs and progress photos, and producing weekly look-ahead schedules.

Travel to job sites is required, including weekends when returning home every other week. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field, OSHA 30, and 3+ years of relevant experience; MS Project

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required and 3+ years of experience in construction management or related field.
• OSHA 30-hour certification required; First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication and coordination with field teams and trade partners.
• Familiarity with pull planning, MS Project, and short-term look-ahead scheduling.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate construction activities and logistics, including oversight of jobsite operations and support for field engineers and self-perform trades personnel.
• Communicate with contractors and project team members regarding ASIs, RFIs, submittals, and other project documentation.
• Ensure subcontractors fully execute and comply with their contracted scopes of work and all safety, health, and environmental standards.
• Manage quality-control efforts for materials and completed work.
• Coordinate and track required inspections with local jurisdictions and special inspectors.
• Proactively identify and resolve conflicts related to schedule, design, quality, and safety.
• Maintain an accurate written daily log of jobsite activities and conditions in accordance with approved GBA Builders standards.
• Maintain an accurate photo record of work progress and site conditions.
• Create and distribute weekly look-ahead schedules covering a minimum of three weeks.
• Conduct daily huddle meetings and weekly coordination meetings.
• Travel to and from job sites as needed to support field operations.
• Operating a motor vehicle on behalf of the company as an essential function of the role.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
