Layton Construction seeks an Assistant Superintendent to work under the Site Superintendent and Project Manager, developing and managing a comprehensive job plan for assigned projects.

On-site focus with potential travel across Hawaii. Requires 2+ years in construction management, strong planning, coordination with architects/owners, and a valid driver's license. Salary range aligns with industry norms and includes relocation/travel support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2+ years in construction management.
• Experience with overseeing Commercial, Industrial and/or Multifamily projects.
• Knowledge of construction processes, codes, and blueprints.
• Valid driver's license.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to manage personnel and travel locally as needed.

Responsibilities

• Review plans and develop a comprehensive job plan including schedule and resources.
• Procure tools, labor and select materials as needed.
• Coordinate with architects, owners and subcontractors to resolve issues.
• Monitor progress and adjust schedules based on reports and costs.
• Ensure safety policies are followed and quality standards met.
• Lead field team and allocate personnel to maximize efficiency.
• Prepare and review project management plans with PM.
• Track changes, extra work and costs as required.
