Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors in Houston, TX, seeks an experienced construction coordinator to manage field coordination for small to moderate projects under general supervision. This role focuses on safety, quality, and schedule adherence on active sites.

Education requirements include a high school diploma with a preferred bachelor’s in construction-related field; five years of relevant experience is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Construction Science or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant industrial construction coordination and administration experience.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge and application of company standards.
• Extensive knowledge of construction safety requirements, with a commitment to a zero accidents environment.
• Working closely with the construction contractor to plan and coordinate daily field and construction tasks and logistical activities.
• Serve as the “first line” coordinator for all contractor activities.
• Monitoring contractor performance against contract milestones and completion dates as well as performance as it relates to the other activities on-site to identify conflicts or potential delays.
• Developing work-around plans to mitigate conflicts or delays in concert with other construction coordinators.
