Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Superintendent for the Central Baldwin area. You will assist the Superintendent in daily site management, coordinating subcontractors, and enforcing safety and quality standards on new-home construction.

Responsibilities include inspections, homeowner walk-through coordination, schedule adherence, and cost control while maintaining exceptional customer service throughout the build process.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Six months to 2 years of related experience.
• Must have valid driver’s license and be willing to drive among construction sites in daytime and nighttime.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Commitment to customer satisfaction.
• Ability to read plans and other construction documents.
• Proficiency with MS Office and email.
• Ability to utilize DRH Construction applications on a smart phone, tablet, or laptop.

Responsibilities

• Inspect each home daily to assure the quality of workmanship and adherence to plans and the production schedule.
• Schedule and walk all inspections with inspectors.
• Walk each completed home before the homeowner walk-through and closing sign-off to ensure completion, cleanliness, and quality.
• Conduct homeowner orientation and any additional walks ensuring homeowner satisfaction.
• Assist Superintendent to ensure subcontractors are managed with quality, safety, scheduling and cost control measures.
• Enforce the site safety program and ensure subcontractor compliance with company standards and safety codes.
• Maintain DR Horton cleanliness standards – communities and jobsites must be free of trash and waste materials.
• Assist in managing construction materials to help prevent damage, waste, and theft.
• Support the construction schedule and ensure the highest quality product is delivered on time and within budget.
• Provide a superior level of customer service during all phases of construction.
