Job summary

Arizona Department of Child Safety in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Case Manager/Child Safety Specialist to respond to allegations, interview families, assess safety, and coordinate services across state communities. The role involves home visits, court involvement, and case management with partners to support vulnerable children.

Training includes 22 weeks with classroom and field components; several pay steps are provided after training and each year of service. A driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited institution OR 4 years as an Arizona DCS Case Aide.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to obtain DPS Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Successful completion of 22-week training program.

Responsibilities

• Respond to allegations of child abuse or neglect; interview and assess safety.
• Work with families in their homes and in the community; coordinate services.
• Attend court hearings and prepare professional reports.
• Transport children and support placement needs; manage cases in assigned region.
• Collaborate with courts, providers, and partner agencies.
