Job summary

Arizona Department of Child Safety (DCS) is hiring Case Manager/Child Safety Specialists across Avondale, Glendale, Peoria and Phoenix. Responsibilities include responding to abuse/neglect allegations, interviewing families, assessing safety, and coordinating services.

On-site field work and court reporting are core duties. The role requires a degree or equivalent experience, a valid driver’s license, and successful training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited institution or 4 years as a DCS Case Aide.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to obtain DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Successful completion of the 22-week in-person training program.

Responsibilities

• Respond to allegations of child abuse or neglect.
• Conduct interviews and assess child safety.
• Work with families in homes and communities.
• Coordinate services and develop case plans.
• Attend court hearings and prepare professional reports.
• Transport children and support placement needs.
• Manage cases within your assigned region.
