Job summary

Arizona Department of Child Safety is hiring Case Managers/Child Safety Specialists in Sierra Vista, Benson, and Douglas, AZ. The role is full-time, on-site with 40 hours weekly, focusing on responding to allegations, interviewing families, and coordinating services while ensuring child safety and permanency across assigned regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree earned from an accredited institution OR 4 years as an AZ DCS Case Aide.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Background checks may be considered.
• Complete the 22-week in-person training program.

Responsibilities

• Respond to allegations of child abuse or neglect.
• Conduct interviews and assess child safety.
• Work with families in homes and in the community.
• Coordinate services and develop case plans.
• Attend court hearings and prepare professional reports.
• Transport children and support placement needs.
• Manage cases within your assigned region.
• Collaborate with courts, providers, and partner agencies.
