Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at a fast-paced summer camp. This on-site, live-in position oversees daily culinary operations, staff management, budgeting, and allergen safety at a high-volume facility.

The role is seasonal (May–Sept), on-site across rural camp facilities, with 6+ day, 70-hour weeks. You will lead a dynamic team, ensure quality, and liaise with campers and Wolfoods leadership.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch cooking experience.
• ServSafe Manager Certification; Allergens knowledge required before start date; company-sponsored.
• Strong leadership, budgeting, and problem-solving abilities; high computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Lead, schedule, and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Oversee operational flow, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking, and timely meal service.
• Strict allergen safety compliance and sanitation standards.
• Manage inventory, place food orders, control budgets, track daily reporting.
• Serve as main liaison between kitchen operations, campers, camp leadership and Wolfoods office.
