Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at a top-tier summer camp. You will oversee all daily culinary operations, staff management, budgeting, and allergen safety, ensuring high-quality, safe meals in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

This on-site, live-in position requires leadership under demanding conditions and a 6-day/70-hour week schedule, across rustic camp facilities in the US.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch cooking experience.
• ServSafe Manager Certification (Allergens required before start date; company-sponsored).
• Strong leadership, budgeting capability, and sharp problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, live on-site in rustic setting, and handle 6-day/70-hour weeks.

Responsibilities

• Lead, schedule, and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Oversee culinary quality, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking, and timely meal service.
• Strictly manage food allergy protocols and maintain sanitation standards.
• Manage inventory, food orders, budgets, and daily reporting.
• Serve as the liaison between kitchen operations, campers, camp leadership and Wolfoods office.
