Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at our rural summer camp program. You will oversee all prep and production for designated day parts, manage staff, and ensure allergen safety to deliver high-quality meals.

This on-site, live-in position requires thriving in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen and readiness to work a demanding 6-day/70-hour week. We offer competitive seasonal pay, a bonus, free room and board, and travel expense assistance

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch cooking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date; company-sponsored.
• Strong leadership, cooking skills, able to navigate iPad, versatile with ingredients, and sharp problem-solving abilities.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, work in hot/cold kitchen settings, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to live on-site in a rustic setting, work a demanding minimum 6-day/70-hour week.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Oversee prep and production for designated day parts; ensure quality.
• Manage allergen safety protocols and sanitation standards.
• Admin tasks: inventory management and daily reporting.
• Serve as liaison between campers, kitchen operations, and camp leadership.
