Qualifications

• Two years of food service experience minimum.
• Three years cooking experience a plus.
• Culinary school diploma preferred.
• Strong knowledge of safe food handling and storage.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision and follow production schedules.
• Physically able to lift, bend, reach, and stand for extended periods.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Identify foods and ensure proper handling, preparation, and storage for safety.
• Perform pantry and salad prep, and prepare meats, seafood, vegetables, soups, stocks and sauces.
• Prepare items by broiling, sautéing, deep-frying, boiling, steaming, baking and grilling.
• Fill production schedules, opening/closing checklists, and daily briefings.
• Instruct and supervise subordinate employees according to Scioto standards.
