Qualifications

• Minimum two years of food service experience required.
• Three years of cooking experience a plus.
• Ability to read, write, add, subtract, multiply and divide.
• Working knowledge of sanitation and safe food handling procedures.
• Must follow daily production schedules and checklists.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food for banquets to meet high-quality standards.
• Identify and properly handle, prepare, and store ingredients.
• Perform pantry, salad, meats, poultry, seafood, vegetables, soups, stocks, and sauces prep.
• Utilize broiling, sautéing, deep-frying, boiling, steaming, baking, and grilling techniques.
• Maintain equipment and report malfunctions to supervisor.
• Follow Scioto standards in supervising and communicating with junior staff.
• Complete daily production schedules and opening/closing checklists.
