Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated in Dallas, TX is seeking an Operating Engineer to maintain and repair HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems, production equipment, and building controls on site. The role involves performing preventive maintenance, responding to service calls, updating work orders in Corrigo, adhering to safety procedures, and coordinating with the facilities team.

A high school diploma and 4+ years of building engineering experience are required, with apprenticeship or trades

Qualifications

• Four (4) years of technical experience in building engineering with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, production equipment repair and maintenance.
• Two years of trades school or documented apprenticeship in electrical systems, refrigeration and HVAC, plumbing or other craft skills.
• Universal CFC recovery certification (or within 90 days of employment).
• 3rd Party Certification, preferred.
• Knowledge of overall system design and applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform ongoing preventive and repair response work orders on facility mechanical, electrical and other installed systems, equipment, and other components.
• Maintain, operate, and repair HVAC systems and associated equipment, electrical distribution equipment, plumbing systems, building interior/exterior repair, and related grounds, and production equipment.
• Study and become familiar with equipment and methods, including building automation systems and fire/life safety systems.
• Update work order status in real time, utilize CMMS systems such as Corrigo, escalate problems to Manager, and attend safety meetings.
• On-call availability and adherence to safety procedures.
