Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated in Dallas, TX is seeking an Operating/Building Engineer to maintain and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems across facilities. You will operate, troubleshoot, and manage commissioning and maintenance tasks to keep buildings running at peak performance.

Applicants should have 5+ years of experience with commercial building systems, working knowledge of CMMS (Corrigo), and the ability to work in varying environmental conditions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience maintaining and repairing commercial building systems.
• Ability to analyze the operation of various industrial Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems, determine the cause of problems or malfunctions, and take corrective action.
• Working knowledge of CMMS (i.e. Corrigo).
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Physical ability to bend, sit, kneel, squat, stand, reach, and lay as required to access equipment components for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work exposed to varying environmental conditions including heat, sunlight, rain, cold, and both daylight and nighttime hours.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and repair Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems to standards.
• Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment and calibrate parts.
• Record equipment readings and adjust system parameters to prevent issues.
• Monitor quality and cost of maintenance by outside contractors.
• Oversee facility services, purchasing, inventory, and contractor coordination.
• Check tool and instrument inventory for readiness.
• Troubleshoot and repair lighting systems and ballast.
• Maintain plumbing fixtures and drain systems.
• Follow safety policies for hazardous materials and keep a clean workplace.
