Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is hiring an Assistant Chief Engineer to oversee the operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems at the Charlotte facility. The role involves ensuring reliability and efficiency of equipment, and may include supervising maintenance staff to meet building needs.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in building systems operations, relevant licenses or EPA certification, and strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; trade/apprentice program preferred.
• 5+ years in operating mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems in commercial property.
• Appropriate trade licenses and EPA Section 608 universal certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain MEP systems for assigned facility.
• Supervise maintenance staff when applicable.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks per manufacturer guidance.
• Recommend improvements to preventive maintenance programs.
• Coordinate with outside contractors and technicians.
