Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an Assistant Chief Engineer to support the Chief Engineer in planning, coordinating, and supervising mechanical operations for multiple properties. This hands-on role covers maintenance, energy management, and equipment lifecycle management.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in commercial property settings, relevant licenses, and strong computer skills. Travel between properties and on-call duties may be required; a robust benefits package is provided.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related work experience in a commercial property setting.
• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
• Journeyman or Master Electrician License or City Licenses may be required.
• Certification as a Universal Technician for CFC’s (AC/ refrigerant).
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Proficient in computer systems (Outlook, Excel, Word).

Responsibilities

• Supervises maintenance staff in the absence of the Chief Engineer and assigns and monitors maintenance projects.
• Assists with maintenance/engineering issues (plumbing, HVAC, electrical).
• Maintains proficiency in Cushman & Wakefield Engineering Standards and building systems.
• Implements preventive maintenance programs and suggests improvements.
• Coordinates staff training and safety procedures.
• Liaises with external contractors and vendors; conducts regular inspections of mechanical and electrical systems.
