Job summary
Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an Assistant Chief Engineer to lead and perform hands-on maintenance across HVAC, electrical, plumbing and building automation systems within our commercial portfolio. The role emphasizes reliability, safety and continuous improvement of building operations.
The candidate will execute preventive maintenance, manage on-site routines, and coordinate with the Chief Engineer to ensure regulatory compliance and efficient facility performance.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of related trade experience in operating mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems in a commercial property setting.
- Appropriate licenses/permits for trade as required (e.g., journeyman or master electrician).
- Universal EPA 608 refrigerant certification to service or dispose of equipment.
Responsibilities
- Execute daily work orders, facility inspections, troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance.
- Perform field-based technical functions and essential office-based administrative duties.
- Mentor and train other engineers and maintenance staff to promote safety and best practices.
- Maintain clear, timely communication with clients, vendors and leadership.
