Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Building Engineer to ensure efficient operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems at the assigned property in Wendell, NC. You will perform rounds, preventive maintenance, and various repairs to maintain a safe, comfortable environment.

The role requires 5+ years of relevant experience, appropriate trade licenses, and basic computing skills. A valid driver’s license is required and the position may involve shift work and on-call

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; apprenticeship/trade school preferred.
• 5+ years of related work experience operating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Appropriate trade license/permit as required (e.g. Journeyman/Master Electrician, Refrigeration Certificate of Fitness).
• Basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel & Word.

Responsibilities

• Perform plumbing, electrical, and HVAC tasks across buildings.
• Maintain heating equipment, chillers, DX units, pumps, and distribution systems.
• Monitor and adjust mechanical/pneumatic equipment and energy management.
• Inspect and repair doors, ceilings, floors, and safety fixtures.
• Respond to emergencies and document activities for supervisor.
