Job summary

Lincoln Property Company seeks a Chief Engineer to lead the Engineering team, overseeing maintenance, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing to ensure tenant satisfaction and safety.

You will manage budgets, supervise staff, and coordinate with tenants and vendors while maintaining accurate logs and compliance with codes. This 100% in-office role requires after-hours availability for emergencies and travel to properties as needed.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Ten years of industry experience or commensurate certification/trade experience.
• Five years of supervisory, training, and mentoring experience.
• CFC certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
• In-depth knowledge of MS Office, energy management software, CMMS.
• Ability to travel daily to assigned properties.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering team and oversee maintenance, HVAC, electrical, plumbing.
• Monitor energy usage and optimize building operations.
• Oversee contractor work and tenant improvement projects.
• Prepare budgets and manage inventory/purchasing.
• Supervise and develop Engineering staff; set goals and reviews.
• Coordinate with tenants, contractors, and property managers.
• Oversee safety compliance and OSHA/NFPA regulations.
• Maintain inspection logs and system documents.
• Respond to emergencies and be primary on-site contact.
• Ensure PPE and safety protocols are followed; after-hours work as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
