Job summary

Lincoln Property Company is seeking a Building Engineer I in Dallas to maintain HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, handle routine maintenance, and respond to tenant requests. The role emphasizes safe operation under senior engineers and requires on-site presence during standard business hours.

You will troubleshoot minor issues, replace components, and maintain records, while coordinating with tenants, contractors, and property managers.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of job-related experience or commensurate certification/trade experience
• Engineering and trade licenses required per local/state/national requirements
• CFC Certification preferred
• Developing familiarity with HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems; BAS operation and troubleshooting
• Basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook and work order systems

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance, repairs, and inspections of building systems
• Address service requests, including hot/cold calls, plumbing issues, and lighting repairs
• Troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions and elevate issues as needed
• Replace light fixtures, filters, and other components as required
• Maintain accurate records of inspections and equipment performance
• Conduct property inspections to identify deficiencies; assist with preventive maintenance tasks and contractor oversight
• Follow safety protocols and use PPE; ensure OSHA/NEC/NFPA compliance; report hazards
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergencies
• Interact with tenants, contractors, and property managers; work with senior engineers
• Develop technical skills through professional development programs
• Perform other duties as assigned
