Job summary

Lincoln Property Company is seeking a Building Engineer I in Plano, TX to maintain HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems while handling tenant service requests during normal business hours. The role requires coordinating with senior engineers and contractors and maintaining accurate maintenance records.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, inspections, and safety adherence, with on-call rotations for emergencies.

Qualifications

2-3 years of job-related experience or commensurate certification/trade experience.
Engineering and trade licenses required per local, state, or national requirements.
CFC Certification preferred.
Developing familiarity with HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems; gaining experience with BAS operation and troubleshooting.
Basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook and laptop/phone applications for work order systems, email, and training platforms.
Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds; physically demanding tasks.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled maintenance, repairs, and inspections of building systems.
Address service requests, including hot/cold calls, plumbing issues, and lighting repairs.
Troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions and escalated issues as needed.
Replace light fixtures, filters, and other components as required.
Maintain accurate records of inspections and equipment performance.
Conduct property inspections to identify deficiencies; assist with preventive maintenance tasks and contractor oversight.
Follow safety protocols and use PPE; ensure OSHA, NEC, NFPA compliance; report hazards and participate in safety audits.
Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergencies; support recovery efforts during severe weather and system outages.
Interact with tenants, contractors, and property managers; work with senior engineers and technicians.
Develop technical skills with senior engineers; participate in professional development.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
