Job summary

Transwestern in Irving, TX is seeking a Building Engineer responsible for completing work orders, preventive maintenance, and repairs across HVAC, plumbing, electrical and building systems. This on-site role requires strong diagnostic skills and the ability to coordinate with technicians and contractors as needed.

You will monitor building operations, maintain energy management practices, and keep accurate maintenance records while supporting a safe, efficient environment for tenants and clients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; trade school training or equivalent is a plus.
• Thorough knowledge of building systems operations, maintenance and repair.
• License or permit for trade as required (e.g., electrical certifications) and energy management familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, industrial systems, equipment, and grounds.
• Inspect building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure operation within design specs.
• Complete maintenance and repair records as required.
• Take the lead to troubleshoot and repair of buildings and installed systems to include plumbing, roofing, HVAC.
• May direct technicians and outside contractors on projects and respond to emergencies.
