Job summary

Transwestern is seeking a Building Engineer in The Woodlands, TX. The role focuses on completing work orders, preventive maintenance, and repairs to ensure reliable building operations. You will monitor systems, manage grounds, and support client needs on site.

The position requires 3+ years of building maintenance experience, along with knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and building automation systems. On-site work is primary, with potential for priority/emergency response.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and a minimum of two years of related experience and/or trade school training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A minimum of 3 years building maintenance experience.
• Thorough knowledge in all building systems operations, maintenance and repair.
• Appropriate license/permit for trade as may be required (e.g., Refrigeration Certificate of Fitness, Boiler licenses, etc.).
• Knowledgeable in energy management systems, techniques, and operations.
• Basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, industrial systems, equipment, and grounds.
• Inspect building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure operation within design specs.
• Perform assigned repairs, emergency, and preventive maintenance.
• Complete maintenance and repair records as required.
• Lead and direct mechanics, technicians, and outside contractors on projects as needed.
• Respond quickly to emergencies and coordinate required assistance.
