Job summary

Transwestern is seeking a Building Engineer in Westminster, CO for an on-site role. You will perform preventive maintenance, inspect systems, and lead repairs to ensure building performance for clients and tenants.

The position requires 3+ years in building maintenance, relevant licenses, and the ability to work extended hours or be on-call. Remote options are not available; the role is on property with direct client interaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2+ years related experience.
• Minimum 3 years building maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of building systems operations, maintenance and repair.
• License/permit for trade as required (e.g., Journeyman/Master Electrician, Refrigeration Certificate of Fitness, etc.).
• Knowledge of energy management systems and operations.
• MS Office basics (Outlook/Word/Excel).
• HVAC, electrical and building automation systems understanding.
• Ability to follow general instructions in standard situations.
• Operate and use manual and power-driven tools.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Customer service orientation.
• May require shift work, overtime and/or on-call duties.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders; safe rigging/lifting.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on buildings and systems.
• Inspect building systems (fire alarms, HVAC, plumbing) for proper operation.
• Lead repairs and coordinate with contractors on projects.
• Respond to emergencies and maintain energy management practices.
• Maintain lighting systems, records, and general preventive maintenance.
