Transwestern is seeking a Building Engineer in Houston to perform preventive maintenance, inspect HVAC and plumbing, and lead repairs for building systems. You will monitor equipment, coordinate with technicians and contractors, and maintain records to ensure optimal performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 2+ years of related experience.
• At least 3 years of building maintenance experience.
• Thorough knowledge of building systems operations, maintenance and repair.
• Licenses/permits for trade as required (e.g., HVAC, electrical or related).
• Knowledge of energy management systems and operations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on buildings, systems and grounds.
• Inspect and ensure operation of fire alarms, HVAC, plumbing; maintain records.
• Lead troubleshoot and repair of building systems; coordinate with contractors.
• Respond to emergencies and assist with on-site issues as needed.
• Maintain energy management practices to control operating costs.
