Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a junior to mid-level software-focused Systems Engineer for software systems engineering on aviation programs. This full-time on-site role is based at the NAVAIR base in PAX River, MD, with a projected start after September 1, 2026.

An ACTIVE Secret Clearance is required, with potential to obtain Top Secret later. Responsibilities include developing software requirements, vendor coordination, agile/SAFe participation, and involvement in CDRs/PDRs.

Qualifications

• Two+ years in software or systems engineering.
• Knowledge of avionics systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software requirements.
• Review and evaluate vendor software specs.
• Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
• Analyze software defects.
• Coordinate with cybersecurity SMEs.
• Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs).
• Support the ECP process.
• Participate in Agile and SAFe processes.
• Prepare and review SOWs and CDRLs.
• Develop IGCEs.
• Support evaluations of contractor proposals.
