Job summary

AVI-SPL seeks a Field Service Technician to deliver on-site service and support at customer locations, restoring assets and ensuring a world-class customer experience. You will read schematics, perform preventative maintenance, and install control software (AMX/Crestron) while collaborating with the Global Helpdesk.

The role requires travel to multiple sites, strong communication, safety compliance, and the ability to handle AV/network equipment.

Qualifications

• Clear communication with customers and team members.
• Ability to interpret schematics and blueprints.
• Physical work involving tools and lifting as needed.
• Comfort with travel to customer sites as required.
• Adherence to safety standards and OSHA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints.
• Perform preventative maintenance visits to maintain stable client environments.
• Clean AV equipment: cameras, monitors, fans.
• Field install control programs (AMX/Crestron); upload/download capability.
• Field service support of networked devices (Routers, IP).
• Perform service tasks including pulling cable, mounting, connectors.
• Assist next level technicians as needed; train clients and junior staff.
• Adhere to OSHA standards and troubleshoot video codecs.
• Travel to various job sites as required.
• Support team with additional tasks as priorities evolve.
