Job summary

AVI-SPL is seeking a Field Service Technician to support customers on-site, restoring AV functionality and delivering top-tier service. You will read schematics, perform preventative maintenance, install control programs (AMX/Crestron), and service networked devices.

Travel to client sites is required, with safety commitments and ongoing training. Ideal candidates bring hands-on electronics knowledge, tool proficiency, and a customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret schematics and architectural blueprints.
• Perform preventative maintenance visits to keep client environments stable.
• Clean AV equipment (lenses, monitors, fans) and service optics.
• Field install control programs (AMX/Crestron/firmware) and config.
• Support networked devices (Routers, IP protocols) at sites.
• Pull cables, install connectors, mount projects, and hang mounts.
• Adhere to OSHA standards and safety requirements on site.
• Solder and crimp connectors as needed.
• Hold a valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Read schematics and blueprints to guide installations.
• Perform maintenance visits to maintain a stable client environment.
• Install and configure control programs (AMX/Crestron) at customer sites.
• Provide field service support for networked devices and IP protocols.
• Travel to various customer sites as required for service calls.
• Assist higher level technicians and train junior staff as needed.
• Follow safety practices and OSHA guidelines at all times.
