Job summary

Krause Auto Group in Myrtle Beach, SC is seeking a hands-on IT Support Specialist to deliver responsive, professional technology support for our dealership operations.

You will resolve day-to-day IT issues, prepare and support employee devices, assist with user access and phone systems, and maintain IT standards across locations. This role works under documented standards and escalates complex issues to the Systems Team Lead.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of hands-on IT support, desktop support, help desk, or similar technical experience.
• Strong working knowledge of Windows PCs, Microsoft 365, Outlook, printers, hardware troubleshooting, and user support.
• Experience with device setup, software deployment, account support, and basic networking concepts.
• Comfortable working directly with non-technical users in a fast-paced business environment.
• Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple requests while communicating clearly.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally between assigned dealership locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person and remote support for employees across assigned dealership locations.
• Diagnose and resolve common Windows PC, laptop, printer, peripheral, Wi-Fi, software, and connectivity issues.
• Prepare, deploy, replace, and maintain computers, monitors, phones, and other IT equipment.
• Support employee onboarding and offboarding by preparing devices, completing assigned access tasks, and recovering equipment.
• Assist with Microsoft 365 user support, including Outlook, Teams, passwords, MFA, and basic account-access issues.
• Support desk phones, mobile devices, and related phone-system requests.
• Create and maintain clear ticket notes, asset records, inventory records, and basic technical documentation.
• Follow established IT security standards, including access-control, device-handling, and escalation procedures.
• Identify recurring issues and escalation patterns or higher-impact incidents promptly.
• Assist the Systems Team with local projects, site moves, device refreshes, and technology rollouts.
