Job summary

Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager to lead kitchen operations at our rural summer camp sites. This on-site, hands-on role includes overseeing prep, production, staff management, and allergen safety for designated day parts in a fast-paced environment.

This live-in seasonal position requires strong leadership and culinary skills, with a minimum 2+ years in a kitchen leadership role and ServSafe Allergens certification. A demanding 6-day, 70-hour schedule is expected.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch cooking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date.
• Strong leadership, cooking, and allergen safety skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy, positive environment.
• Manage operational flow, portion control, menu specs, scratch cooking, and timely meal service.
• Strictly manage food allergy protocols (Kosher, Nut-Free, Gluten-Free, Vegan, etc.) and maintain sanitation standards.
• Manage inventory and assist with daily reporting.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen operations, campers, and camp leadership.
