Job summary

Ledgent is seeking an Accounting Assistant for our Manchester, CT client. This on-site, full-time role supports AP, AR, billing, and collections in a fast-paced office environment.

The ideal candidate has basic accounting knowledge, attention to detail, and good communication skills. Epicor experience is preferred but not required; a high school diploma is required with accounting coursework a plus.

Qualifications

• Basic accounting knowledge and principles.
• Experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, billing, or related role.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with ERP software; Epicor preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Process approximately 50 invoices daily.
• Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities.
• Prepare and process vendor and customer payments.
• Handle customer billing and invoicing.
• Perform collection activities and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Contact customers regarding account inquiries and payment issues.
• Process checks and credit card payments.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
• Enter data and update customer and vendor information in Epicor.
• Assist with general accounting and administrative duties as needed.
• Support month-end accounting processes and reporting.
