Job summary

JMT Staffing Solutions is hiring an AR/AP Accounting Associate for our client in Wilmington, MA. This is a full-time, permanent position supporting the accounting team with day-to-day accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bookkeeping tasks in an in-office environment.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in AP/AR, a high school diploma (associate degree preferred), and strong Excel/Word skills, with excellent attention to detail and communication. On-site work is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred.
• 2+ years in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or related accounting role.
• Working knowledge of basic accounting principles.
• Comfort with accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Strong attention to detail with ability to meet deadlines.
• Problem-solver who handles unexpected issues with composure.
• Clear written and verbal communication; professional, team-oriented attitude.
• On-site work required at assigned office on scheduled in-office days.

Responsibilities

• Process daily wire transfers and credit card sales.
• Maintain customer consolidated statements.
• Research and resolve transaction issues and discrepancies.
• Respond promptly to questions from vendors, customers, and employees.
• Assist with year-end audits.
• Handle general accounting office tasks, including filing, answering phones, and preparing financial documents.
• Take on other duties as assigned.
