Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a trained-operator to run handheld 3D scans (Artec Leo, Eva, Space Spider or equivalent) on active sites, verify captures on site, and deliver processed data ready for CAD.

You will process scans in Artec Studio, generate meshes, reports, and scan-to-CAD outputs while coordinating access, safety, and travel to regional hubs as needed. The role requires on-site work and occasional longer travel.

Qualifications

• Operate handheld 3D scanners (Artec Leo, Eva, Space Spider or equivalent) on real projects.
• Process data: registration, mesh cleanup, texture, export to STL/OBJ/E57/CAD.
• Read and interpret structural/fabrication drawings for scan targeting.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute handheld scans of rebar, embeds, and structures before pours.
• Verify capture completeness on site and minimize drift on large objects.
• Process scans in Artec Studio and export to client-ready formats.
• Produce deviation maps, reports, and anchor bolt coordinates.
