Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a trained 3D scanning technician to operate handheld scanners (Artec Leo/Eva/Space Spider), process data in Artec Studio, and deliver meshes, point clouds, and CAD-ready files for client use. Candidates should be able to read drawings, work on active sites, and travel to regional hubs as needed.

You will verify data on site, build scan-to-CAD solids, and contribute to metrology reports and delivery packages for multiple projects with varying scopes.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience operating a handheld 3D scanner on real projects.
• Proficient with Artec Studio for processing scans.
• Familiar with CAD drawings and related file formats.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute handheld 3D scans of rebar, embeds, and structures.
• Control drift on large objects using reference features and overlaps.
• Verify capture on site before leaving, then process in Artec Studio.
• Produce deviation maps, reports, and scan-to-CAD exports.
• Document procedures, equipment settings, and chain of custody.
