Construction Material Testing in Jonesboro, AR is seeking a trained 3D scanning technician to operate handheld scanners on real projects, capture data on site, and deliver meshes, reports, and scan-to-CAD files the client can act on.

Responsibilities include planning scans of rebar, embeds, pipes, and structures; processing data in Artec Studio; producing deviation maps and anchor bolt reports; and traveling to regional hubs as assigned. Pay ranges from $26 to $40 per hour; overtime may apply.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience operating handheld scanners on real projects.
• Working knowledge of Artec Studio; mesh cleanup, registration, export.
• Familiarity with CAD and reading drawings.
• Able to work on active construction sites; carry equipment, climb, outdoors.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable record.
• Willingness to travel and fly with equipment.
• Experience with scan-to-CAD or metrology reporting is a plus.
• Certifications sponsorship (ACI/NICET/ICC) a plus.

Responsabilités

• Plan and execute handheld 3D scans of rebar and embeds before concrete placement.
• Control drift on large objects with reference features and overlapping zones.
• Verify capture completeness on site before leaving.
• Process scans in Artec Studio: registration, fusion, mesh cleanup, texture, export to STL/OBJ/E57/CAD.
• Produce deviation color maps, measurement reports, crack maps, and anchor bolt reports.
• Build scan-to-CAD solids (STEP/IGES) for reverse engineering and fit-up checks.
• Document capture procedure, equipment settings, and chain of custody.
• Coordinate access, permits, and safety with superintendents and plant contacts.
• Travel to regional hubs as assigned.
