Job summary
Electrical Automation Services in Surprise, AZ is seeking a seasoned Controls Engineer to provide on-shift automation support at its Glendale facility, 2-2-3 schedule, 6:00 AM–6:00 PM. You will troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and servo systems while mentoring technicians and leading controls improvement projects.
Relocation assistance and a 20% target annual bonus are available. An associate degree or equivalent and 4+ years in high-speed manufacturing are required; preferred experience with KHS
Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent in engineering technology or related field.
- 4+ years in industrial automation or controls in high-speed manufacturing.
- Strong PLC troubleshooting and programming capabilities.
- Experience with automated production, conveyor systems and packaging equipment.
Responsibilities
- Serve as on-shift controls expert; provide Tier 1 and 2 troubleshooting.
- Diagnose PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, instrumentation, and network issues.
- Develop and execute controls projects to improve safety, quality and throughput.
- Mentor maintenance technicians and provide training.
- Maintain documentation and backups; support upgrades and commissioning.
