Job summary

Keolis ECCTA is seeking a capable Operations Supervisor to oversee driver and vehicle operations, support revenue service, and monitor safety and performance across high ridership locations. The role emphasizes coaching, field observations, and rapid incident response.

The ideal candidate has a CDL, VTT certification, and at least two years as a full-time operator, with strong leadership, communication, and planning skills, plus proficiency with Microsoft Office and dispatch tools.

Qualifications

• Must possess valid MN CDL Class B with passenger and air brake endorsements.
• Current Verification of Transit Training (VTT) prior to revenue service.
• Driver’s Record to verify acceptable driving record.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a full-time operator.
• Knowledge of project-specific vehicles, components, and data/communications systems.
• Knowledge of State and Federal regulations and corporate safety programs and policies.
• Strong customer service attitude.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all departments.
• Ability to work independently and objectively.
• Intermediate knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Oversee driver and vehicle operations. Enhance customer service, support drivers during revenue service, respond to accidents or incidents, monitor condition of bus stops, assess operating conditions and on-time performance, and conduct passenger counts or surveys.
• Regularly check functionality of on-street real-time signage; report malfunctions in writing to ECCTA staff.
• Complete Keolis’ Operator Training, Reasonable Suspicion Training, and Customer Service Training.
• Assist across the service area based on business needs; attend peak service times at high ridership locations (Antioch BART and Pittsburg-Bay Point BART stations, Los Medanos College Pittsburg Campus).
• Conduct a minimum of 30 ride-alongs and/or road observations per month; document observations and submit upon request.
• Be first line of response in incidents; adhere to reporting policies; flexible with schedule, including weekends/holidays.
• Monitor operators for licensing and certifications; ensure safety and performance standards.
• Assist dispatch with field vehicle changes.
• Provide safety feedback to operations; identify hazards and influence daily procedures.
• Follow safety and operational rules; work under stress and tight timelines.
• Handle Special Event management; monitor AM/PM pull-outs; inspect vehicle safety.
• Coach employees using onboard surveillance and field observations; provide field supervision of operators to assess performance; prepare and present driver scorecards; drive continual improvement.
