Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of related work experience in transit operations.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the work of assigned personnel, including assigning and reviewing work, providing guidance, and conducting performance evaluations.
• Oversees the operation of service within an assigned territory and takes corrective action to maintain efficiency.
• Instructs operating personnel in correct schedules and routes while communicating with the radio dispatcher.
• Investigates and reports emergency conditions of operations; coordinates road calls with Maintenance and radio dispatcher.
• Evaluates schedules, conducts counts, recommends modifications, and investigates complaints and accidents.
• Reports on traffic conditions and recommends modifications.
• Ensures logs and forms are accurately completed and submitted.
• Reroutes buses during street closures and special events.
• Prepares daily and special reports and performs special assignments.
• Other duties as assigned.
