Job summary

Paradise Inn in Washington state is seeking an experienced hotel operations manager to lead daily guest service and oversee housekeeping and F&B coordination under the General Manager and Assistant General Manager.

You will monitor staff, conduct pre-shift meetings, ensure safety and compliance, handle guest issues, and maintain records such as schedules and cash reports, while collaborating across departments to uphold high standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s or Business Degree preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience in related management.
• Demonstrated talent for interacting with a wide variety of people.
• Computer proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to organize and coordinate multiple priorities; work well as a team leader; problem-solve.
• Strong customer service abilities; actively looking for ways to assist customers and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, problem solve, and direct workers to ensure efficient and safe completion of tasks daily.
• Communicate regularly with the General Manager, Assistant General Manager, other departments, guests, HR, and stakeholders.
• Attend and participate in management and safety meetings.
• Conduct daily pre-shift meetings and write daily shift reports.
• Ensure proper shift coverage and manage meal breaks.
• Address staffing conflicts and mitigate escalate situations.
• Ensure cash handling, asset security, key controls per policy and standards.
• Assist in pre-and-post season hotel, F&B and Retail setups/teardowns.
• Manage staff to enforce standards and minimize conflicts.
• Participate in department check-in and cash-out procedures and other accounting functions.
• Engage in and resolve guest issues as they arise.
• Oversee department records such as schedules, payroll, deposits, tips, and daily cash reports.
