Job summary

J&P Asset Management in Seattle, WA is seeking an experienced Hotel Assistant Manager to oversee daily operations in the General Manager's absence, leading a 6–10 person team and upholding rigorous quality and guest service standards.

You will own the property’s profitability, participate in sales by engaging key accounts and selling rooms, supervise prep and maintenance, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily hotel operations in the absence of the General Manager.
• Lead a team of 6–10 employees and ensure high performance.
• Uphold rigorous quality, cleanliness, and guest service standards.
• Participate in sales efforts by engaging key accounts and actively selling rooms.
• Conduct curb-to-room property walks to identify repairs and housekeeping needs.
• Select, orient, train, and manage hotel staff.
• Oversee all P&L responsibilities and drive profitability.
• Enforce payroll and inventory cost controls.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws including OSHA and Wage & Hour.
