Job summary

Foxys IT Services is seeking a Deskside Technician in Chicago, IL to provide on-demand, on-site IT support for end-user computing equipment and peripherals at corporate locations. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain desktops, laptops, and mobile devices while ensuring SLA compliance.

The role requires independent professionals capable of liaising between customers and internal teams to drive issue resolution and minimize downtime.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite support to Authorized Users with operational and technical support and meets specified SLAs
• Resolve incidents and problems associated with EUC equipment
• Perform reactive troubleshooting to identify potential incidents or problems and prevent recurrence
• Support Authorized Users in connecting to the corporate network and access LAN, print, and file services; connect to WAN and appropriate LAN segments
• Provide repair and maintenance for mobile devices
• Install, upgrade, and repair EUC equipment (desktops, laptops, monitors, peripherals)
• Provide software break/fix services and replacement of non-warranty assets for end users
• Provide network printers and scanner network connectivity, including device configuration and IP addressing
• Provide warranty and break/fix support for networked printers and scanners
• Configure and support end users on mobile computing platforms
• Provide VIP support for equipment including desktop devices, mobile devices, display screens, video systems, docking stations, communication devices, printers, scanners, and wireless networking
• Create, change, and remove printer configurations and queues based on requests and SLAs
• Provide on-site hardware support for general troubleshooting of end-user computing technologies
• Provide timely feedback regarding customer requirements and coordinate with sales, operations, and branch offices
• Utilize problem management databases and systems to track and report on customer calls and requests
• Communicate technical information to technical and non-technical teams and customers
