Job summary

BC Tech Pro in Rolling Meadows, IL is seeking an intermediate IT technician to repair a variety of end-user computing products in an on-site, full-time role.

The position focuses on hands-on troubleshooting for PCs, desktops, laptops, tablets and printers, with emphasis on clear communication and customer service. Benefits include Health, Dental, Vision and 401k; starting pay is $22.50 per hour. Candidates should have 2–4 years of relevant experience and hold a technical certification.

Qualifications

• Technical school certification or 2–4 years of relevant experience.
• A+ certification desired; ITIL knowledge can be beneficial.
• Maintain OEM certifications as directed by management.
• Knowledge of IT hardware and software systems.
• May require additional customer-specific certifications or training.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic and moderately complex troubleshooting and repair activities for end-user computing devices (PCs, desktops, laptops, tablets, printers).
• Provides support to client identified VIPs.
• Responds to change management requests including installing new PC equipment and desk-side support.
• Perform IMAC (Install/Move/Add/Change) activities.
• Perform all assigned desk-side support activities.
• Display outstanding technical and professional services skills at all times.
• Meet established customer service satisfaction levels and metrics.
• Proactively communicate with end-users and service desk regarding timing and status of repairs.
• Understand and follow documented service operations policies and procedures.
• Other duties or certifications may be assigned to meet business needs.
