Job summary

The George Washington University is seeking a Student Services Specialist within Student Financial and Registration Services (SFRS) at the Foggy Bottom campus. You will assist students and families with financial aid, billing, and registration, providing accurate information and guiding them to online self-service resources.

Collaborate with multiple offices to resolve issues at the first point of contact, delivering exceptional customer service, and supporting enrollment management operations

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus 3 years relevant experience, or, a Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant area of study.
• Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Preferred qualifications include knowledge of billing, registration, and financial aid processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist students and families with navigating GW’s administrative processes related to financial aid, billing, and registration.
• Explain transactions on the bill and help students use online self‑service resources.
• Partner with staff in Student Financial Assistance, Student Accounts, Registrar, and GWorld to resolve issues at first point of contact.
• Execute extraordinary customer service through accurate communication, analytical research, and conflict resolution.
