Job summary

George Mason University seeks a MSSC Generalist to deliver high-quality student services in a hybrid environment. You will assist visitors, answer questions, and guide them through enrollment, financial aid, billing and registrar processes.

Responsibilities include processing documents, updating records in Banner and Salesforce, and providing proactive support to students and families while upholding FERPA and university policies.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience.
• Proven ability in fast-paced, customer-oriented environments.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated computer literacy and ability to learn university systems.

Responsibilities

• Counsel, advise, investigate and resolve questions for students, parents, faculty and staff.
• Process and review documents, update student records in Banner and related systems.
• Provide training and maintain knowledge of policies affecting students and university processes.
• Deliver high-quality in-person, email, phone and other electronic service in alignment with FERPA and university policies.
• Document cases in Salesforce and follow escalation processes.
• Support multiple student service areas including Financial Aid, Student Accounts, Admissions, and Registrar.
