Roxbury Community College (RCC) is seeking an IT Helpdesk Student Assistant to gain hands-on support experience in RCC's Information Technology Services environment. Under professional IT supervision, you will assist with user support, troubleshooting, service requests, and documentation while contributing to day-to-day technology operations.

This Level II Learn & Earn position is on campus, with two openings.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled at Roxbury Community College and eligible to participate in Learn & Earn.
• Willingness to learn IT concepts and customer-service best practices.
• Basic computer literacy and reliable teamwork.

Responsabilités

• Provide first-level technical assistance to students, faculty, and staff for hardware, software, account, and technology-support issues.
• Receive, document, update, and help resolve assigned helpdesk tickets using the College's approved service-management process.
• Troubleshoot common computer and classroom-technology issues within the training scope.
• Assist with setup, configuration, deployment, inventory, and basic maintenance of computers and peripherals.
• Follow RCC cybersecurity, acceptable-use, privacy, FERPA, access-control, and information-security requirements.
• Participate in required Learn & Earn professional development and onboarding activities.
