Job summary

Austin Community College District is seeking an Assistant II for Student Technology Services at the Riverside Campus. This hourly role involves helping students in open computer labs, answering questions, and providing technical support for ACCMail, Blackboard, and other systems.

You will also facilitate technology checkouts, including iPads and calculators. You may lead or assist with short training sessions, while maintaining privacy standards and clear communication with campus departments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate degree or higher preferred.
• Experience in customer service or student tech support preferred.
• Ability to assist students with technical issues in a lab environment and coordinate technology checkouts.

Responsibilities

• Assist students, faculty, and staff with technical issues in the Computer Center and other student tech areas.
• Respond to inquiries regarding ACCMail, Blackboard, and related systems; refer non-technical questions as needed.
• Identify and route second-level requests for access or special permissions.
• Maintain FERPA compliance and privacy responsibilities.
• Assist with training sessions and communicate feedback for improvements.
• Check out technology to students and staff; track and document with appropriate systems.
• Serve as a technical resource for hardware and software when needed.
